Ridgefield Historical Society Receives Grant from the Ridgefield Thrift Shop

The Ridgefield Historical Society is pleased to announce it is a 2019 grant recipient of the Ridgefield Thrift Shop in the amount of $7,000. Funding will support two projects: one capital and the other programmatic. Since most of the Historical Society’s program content is directly sourced from its state-of-the-art archives, part of the request will support temperature and humidity control in the vault. The remainder will fund the development of the Society’s programs and exhibits mined from this repository.

We are thrilled to be awarded this generous grant from the Ridgefield Thrift Shop and thank them for their ongoing support. They are a huge asset to Ridgefield and it is incredible how much they have given back to all of the town’s nonprofits,” stated Board President Sharon Dunphy.

Experience the Historical Society in action by visiting Town Hall to see two exhibits on view on the main and lower levels, or stop by the Society at 4 Sunset Lane, any Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 1 to 5 pm.
