SPHERE's Grant from Ridgefield Thrift Shop to Help Fund New Transportation Vehicle for Members

And yet another nonprofit that is the recipient of a generous grant from Ridgefield Thrift Shop!

"We are beyond excited to receive this generous donation from the Thrift Shop.  The amount will be designated toward purchasing a new transportation vehicle for our Ridgefield based members," says Lori Berisford Board Chair of SPHERE.

SPHERE's donation comes on the heels of the Thrift Shop's announcement that they are breaking an 82-year-old record by donating half a million dollars in 2019 to local charities.

"SPHERE has a wonderful relationship with The Thrift Shop and we are so proud of the work that they do for our community.  The Thrift Shop is a true example of what makes Ridgefield a very special place," says Berisford.

The Grant Selection Committee reports that this year’s grant recipients include 71 different local non-profit organizations. The recipients were divided into seven different categories Arts & Culture, Community Outreach, Community Services, Health, Nature/Conservation, Seniors and Youth.

SPHERE helps adults with developmental disabilities achieve their dreams by providing them experiences and programs that directly improve their quality of life and connect them to our robust community.
