Wellington Barboza, one of the smiling faces you meet Sunoco Gas Station (aka "Pamby") at 36 Danbury Road, has announced that after two decades, he will depart his beloved employment with Pamby Motors to pursue his entrepreneurial dream as founder of a commercial and residential cleaning business. Wellington's last day will be Friday, March 29. Wellington's smiling sidekick, Carlos, will remain employed by Pamby.
"I will miss the hundreds of people who drive by [the gas station] and honk and wave," Wellington told me. "I leave with the feeling of accomplishment. I will continue with faith in God and great expectation to begin a new chapter in my life," Wellington said.
In a note Wellington wrote on Facebook he said, "From the beginning,g I understood that God had a plan in my life and that's why He put me there. And I confess I was blessed far beyond daily sustenance. Just to get an idea, we got our immigration documentation; we realized the American dream of buying our house and in 2007, the biggest and best of all."
Wellington's business, Bethel-based "CB Cleaning Services" offers office building maintenance, and cleaning. "From now on I will be dedicating myself to the cleaning of windows, offices, buildings and the like," he said.
Wellington leaves with a warm heart and a thankful heart. "I am eternally grateful to God for all the people He Himself has used on this journey. André, Pambianchi family, co-workers and all clients, many of them converted into friends," he said.
