Football in April?
Yes! The first-of-its-kind in Connecticut flag football league for women begins on April 11.
The Women's Flag Football League of Ridgefield will begin its inaugural season on Thu. April 11 at 6 pm at Scotland School field. It will run in consecutive Thu. evenings through June 6.
If you’re a woman 21 years or older who’d like to learn Flag Football and make new friends contact the commissioner Lynne Briody at Lynnebriody@yahoo.com before 4/11. Registration is $40 per player which provides a t-shirt.
“It’s all about fun, football and friendship. We will get exercise and laugh. This is our time!” says Briody.
