Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC) will be hosting its annual Cannonball Gala on Saturday, May 18 in the Garden House at KTM&HC.
The Cannonball Gala is a major fundraiser for the museum, supporting its general operating budget, which allows KTM&HC to continue to preserve Ridgefield's treasured landmark and to offer engaging and insightful programming. This evening fundraiser will feature cocktails in the garden, live music by local high school musicians, The Ridgefield Jazz Giants, a silent auction, a live auction with auctioneer Ira Joe Fisher, and a sit-down dinner by Tom Devine from Ciao! Catering and Events/Two Steps Downtown Grille.
At the evening's festivities, KTM&HC will honor Gaetana and Ed McGill, long-time supporters and volunteers of the Museum, with a presentation of the Cannonball Award. Mrs. McGill has been a museum docent and has volunteered at museum events, such as the annual Christmas Luncheons. She also served as co-chair of the planning committee for the Cannonball Gala, which was held twice at the BMW of Ridgefield showroom. Mr. McGill was a trustee on KTM&HC's Reserve Fund for seven years and was a key member of KTM&HC's Capital Campaign cabinet. In line with their interest in preserving local history, in 2011, the McGills donated the James Seymour House, an early-18th century Ridgefield building, to the Museum.
The gala is from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $175 per person; sponsorship opportunities are also available.
