Town of Ridgefield Announces Free Compost at Recycling Center for Organic Food Scrap Participants

Are you part of Ridgefield Organics Food Scraps program?

The Town of Ridgefield has announced that compost is coming to the Recycling Center on Sunday, May 19, 2019, from 9:00am - 2:00pm.

Pick up your share of organic compost for being a participant in the Ridgefield Organics Food Scraps program.

Shovels will be available; be sure to bring your own pails or bags (kitchen garbage can size) to transport your compost.

According to the Town, FREE mulch is also available. The mulch pile is near trees at the back of the front parking lot. Free sleeve of bio-bags to the first 30 Ridgefielders to arrive.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

  • This is a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED give away. 
  • You may bring up to two (2), 5-gallon pails or 3 kitchen garbage bags to fill as well as your organics carry bin.
