UVM Fraternity & Sorority Life Announces Ridgefielder Meredith Gillis as 2019 Traveling Suitcase Award Recipient

The University of Vermont Fraternity & Sorority Life honors Meredith Gillis of Ridgefield for their contributions to the University of Vermont community during the annual UVM Fraternity & Sorority Life awards.

Each year the University of Vermont Fraternity & Sorority Life Awards Night celebrates and honors the accomplishments of individual members of the fraternity and sorority communities at UVM, as well as chapters that exemplified commitment to the pillars of citizenship, friendship, leadership, lifelong learning, and justice.

A member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Meredith has been presented with the Traveling Suitcase Award - recognizing those who are going on to to serve their National Organization as a chapter consultant. Consultants travel the country working with different chapters, active members, alumni, and campus partners to advance their national mission and values..

For over 180 years, UVM's Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) has worked to provide an environment that enhances the UVM experience. With 9 fraternity chapters, 6 sorority chapters, and over 800 total members, UVM FSL contributes to the development of citizenship, intellect, leadership, and developing life-long friendships within the UVM community and beyond.
