Ridgefield 8 Claim Guinness World Record, Raise Over $10,000 for Local Charities

Ridgefield 8 Official Guinness World Record certification!

On Friday, June 21 beginning at 7 am, Ancona's parking lot was home to the World's Longest Bocce Marathon as 8 Ridgefielders took bocce by Guinness World Record STORM for thirty-six straight hours - all in the name of ROAR and Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield.

Congratulations Bill Diamond, Kyle Morehouse, Chris Forsyth and Mark E. Blandford of team ROAR and Brendan Kenny, Kristian Ording, Michael Rosella and Jeff Levi of team Boys and Girls Club for your talent and tenacity and for raising over $10,000 raised for these two local non-profits.

The bocce tournament was played on hallowed ground - the Ancona's parking lot is where Mitch Ancona set The Guinness Book of World Records for "most champagne bottles sabered in one minute".
