Ridgefield Thrift Shop and RVNAhealth Celebrate 82-Year Partnership

The Ridgefield Thrift Shop and RVNAhealth celebrated their 82-year partnership in style with a holiday “Sip & Shop” gathering at The Thrift Shop on Thursday evening, December 12th.

The event featured tasty snacks and drinks, musical accompaniment by Tammy Strom, RVNAhealth’s music therapist; and a store filled with exceptional deals and one-of-a-kind finds. Cheers to Cindy Merritt, LCSW, hospice social worker, for leaving with the most bountiful treasures and to all team members who left with gifts and goodies aplenty.

The Ridgefield Thrift Shop and RVNAhealth enjoy a cherished relationship that began 82 years ago when the Thrift Shop was founded to support the agency’s work. Both organizations have grown, re-located and evolved since the beginning, but both retain philanthropy and generosity at their roots.

The “Ridgefield Thrift Shop Hospice Fund at RVNAhealth” supports RVNAhealth hospice programs that are not covered by Medicare or insurance, such as family bereavement support, music therapy, and the make-a-wish program, which helps bring hospice patients’ end-of-life dreams come true. Thank you to the Ridgefield Thrift Shop for your historic partnership, support and compassion!

Founded in 1914, RVNAhealth is an accredited non-profit Medicare-certified home healthcare agency that also supports public health and safety and promotes the highest quality of life.
