Open Auditions for The Exonerated at The Ridgefield Theater Barn

The Ridgefield Theater Barn will hold open auditions for The Exonerated by Erik Jensen and Jessica Blank, at 37 Halpin Lane, Ridgefield, CT on Sunday, February 9th and Monday, February 10th at 7pm. The production, directed by Erik Tonner, will be presented Friday and Saturday evenings from June 5th to the 27th at 8pm, with Sunday matinees June 14th and 21st at 5pm, and the rehearsal schedule will be determined by the actors and their director.

Through the words of innocent men and women who, after years in jail, emerged from death row to try to reclaim what was left of their lives, The Exonerated attempts to answer this question: “What effect does it have on a person – a soul, a life – to have freedom and self-respect stripped away and then, ostensibly, returned years later after decades of incarceration?”

Seeking a diverse cast of (7) men and (3) women.  Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the monologues provided. Please be familiar with the play. More information, including a cast breakdown and audition monologues, can be found at https://ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org/auditions/, or you can send an email to info@ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org with “Exonerated” in the subject line.
