RABC to honor Allison & Jon Stockel at Winter Gala on Friday!

The community is invited to attend the Ridgefield A Better Chance Winter Gala (Mardi Gras) to be held on Friday, February 7th at Le Chateau. RABC will honor Allison and Jon Stockel for their extraordinary commitment to the program. The Stockel's have been host parents to three RABC scholars including a current RHS senior. Jon is an RABC board member and has chaired the Annual Golf Outing for several years. The couple has been involved in many other ways with this program that changes lives.

Enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by dinner and dancing to the tunes of DJ Big Daddy. Black Tie optional and festive Mardi Gras masks are encouraged!

Ira Joe Fisher will emcee this glittering evening which will also include alumni speaker, Safiya Samms, an RABC 2007 graduate and Technical Program Manager at Facebook/London followed by a live and silent auction conducted by Christine O'Leary.

A Better Chance is a not-for-profit educational program that finds and places highly motivated and talented high school students of color in outstanding academic systems. Its mission is to increase substantially the number of well-educated young people of color who are capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society. Ridgefield hosts eight women Scholars in one of the twenty public school programs nationwide.
