CTbites Celebrates "It's a Women's World"

Let's hear it for the girls! Sarah Bouissou, the owner of Bernard's and Sarah's Wine Bar, is among 5 badass women deemed Most Influential in the culinary world by CTbites based on the following criteria: Leadership, Influence, Recognition, Mentorship, and Philanthropy

Last night, Monday, March 2, Stephanie Webster, the founder of CTbites and Chef Jessica Bengston of Terrain Cafe hosted the first annual "It's a Woman's World" event celebrating the “Most Influential Women In CT Culinary Industry.”

Twenty extraordinary women in the culinary world in Connecticut were nominated, and five winners were announced based on public voting.

A big shoutout to Ridgefield resident Sarah Bouissou, the owner of Sarah's Wine Bar and Bernard's,  for being named one of Connecticut's culinary trailblazers! We couldn't be more proud! Sarah and her husband Bernard are celebrating twenty years of business in 2020! What's more, they opened the doors of their West Lane French eatery on March 4 (tomorrow)!

CTbites says of Sarah Bouissou:

She started as the first female chef at Le Cirque (NY), then moved onto to other kitchens and finally founded her own catering business, which runs to this day. Her kitchen at Bernard’s is filled with women chefs and Sarah’s Wine Bar makes it a point to work with local artists to showcase their work.
