Town of Ridgefield Reports 84 COVID-19 Cases,

Health Director Ed Briggs confirms 84 COVID-19 active cases in Ridgefield with ages ranging from 2-101. Our current town total death toll remains at seven.

• If you feel you have symptoms, CALL YOUR PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER, who will prescribe a test if needed. Immediately self-quarantine.

• If you test positive for COVID-19, please stay at home. Ask friends or family or one of the many volunteer organizations available to utilize takeout and curbside services. PLEASE quarantine within your home and follow CDC precautions on how to protect others living in your household.

• Thank you Ridgefielders for continuing to isolate and shelter in place. Every moment you stay out of the public, away from crowds, helps us to protect ourselves and our most vulnerable residents. Please keep practicing social distancing, washing hands and sanitizing. Those who are casual about the federal, state and local directives, I ask you to step up now and join the rest of Ridgefield in this fight.

• PLEASE put used disposable gloves in trash cans or take them home to dispose. Tossing them on the ground is not helpful and puts those who must retrieve them at risk.

• Please call your neighbors to check on them, especially those who are alone. A Board of Selectman meeting on the budget will be Wed, April 1st at 6:30PM. It will be open to the public via live stream on ridgefieldct.org and on Comcast 24. To attend via zoom go to ridgefieldct.org or attend as follows https://zoom.us/j/296298776?pwd=K3FMaHJJQ2tOR3BIeWd0cEtkWVNUUT09 Please be patient as we continue to find new ways to operate during this crises.

• Ridgefield’s Emergency Operations Team will provide a COVID-19 live update today, Wednesday, March 15 at 4pm on ridgefieldct.org and Cable Channel 24 (Comcast) and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday of each week. The website also has archives of all previous updates.

• Ridgefield Responds, a charity under the Friends of Ridgefield (public 501c-3) is now taking donations. Send all contributions to: Friends of Ridgefield – Ridgefield Responds, 400 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT 06877. Please notify employers who sponsor matching contributions.
