Community is not Canceled: Compassionate Ridgefield's Neighbors Help Neighbors Program

Community is not Canceled

Neighbors helping neighbors, community members reaching out to our local senior citizens, residents supporting our heroic first responders -the inspiring stories and acts of kindness brought forth by our current crisis are extraordinary. What's more, small businesses, local nonprofits, and civic organizations are innovating to stay connected and serve the community.

Community is not Canceled, a series made possible by LIFEWTR will showcase Connecticut's awesome response to this unprecedented situation. We are in this together. Stay strong.

Ridgefield Seniors + Caring Neighbors = Compassion in ACTION

Our friends at Compassionate Ridgefield have started a "Neighbors Help Neighbors" initiative to support local seniors.

"If you are a senior in need of a caring neighbor, we are here for YOU," the group says.

The CDC recommends that people over the age of 60 or in high-risk groups avoid congregate settings. Compassionate Ridgefield members are ready and willing to help local seniors who may be in need of a friendly ear or even need someone to bring them some groceries.

If you are a senior in need of a caring neighbor, please email compassionproject06877@gmail.com with Senior Ridgefielder in the subject line.

AND, if you are a caring neighbor who is willing to join Compassionate Ridgefield in helping out a senior in need, please email compassionproject06877@gmail.com with Caring Neighbor in the subject line.

Community is not Canceled! We are thankful to LIFEWTR for helping us to connect and stay strong.
