”Ordinary” Ridgefielders Doing Extraordinary Things: Neighbors Helping Neighbors
When COVID-19 impacted our community, Compassionate Ridgefield immediately launched a "Neighbors Help Neighbors" initiative to support local seniors. The Ridgefielders who answered the call to support locals in need are everyday heroes.
One of them is Beth Butler. She is helping two local senior citizens currently quarantined at home. In addition to grocery shopping for them, Beth makes regular phone calls to make sure they are OK. “It brings me a lot of gratitude helping others during these extraordinary times,” she says.
And, Beth’s shopping list includes an array of specialty items so the couple can prepare some of their favorite Italian dishes. “I’m learning so much and I can’t wait to meet them beyond waving through the window,” Beth says.
