RHS Class of 2020 Drive-In Movie Graduation Ceremony

A Week of Graduation Celebrations Planned for Ridgefield High School Class of 2020

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, high schools and colleges around the world have had to find new and creative ways to celebrate the Class of 2020. Ridgefield High School is in no way excluded from this turn of events. Nonetheless, in Ridgefield, celebrating our seniors is something very important to the community and therefore, festivities will be conducted in a three-part, week-long celebration in order to properly honor this year’s graduating class.

First, there will be a scheduled Diploma Pick-Up at RHS on June 12th where students will have the opportunity to take photos and also will receive a “swag-bag” provided by RHS and the Post Grad Committee.

The main event, which will occur on June 18th, is a Drive-In Movie Graduation Ceremony on the RHS campus. This event will include live projection of speeches, the reading of names, and the communal turning of tassels.

Please note that due to the size of the RHS Class of 2020 this event will take place in two separate parts, divided alphabetically, and each family is permitted one car on campus.

The third and final event will be a virtual Graduation at 4:00 pm on June 19th. This online gathering offers families the time to gather together and celebrate their individual graduate.
