Ridgefield Mother and Daughter Co-Author Children's Book about COVID-19

Emerging from quarantine as authors of a children’s book about Covid-19, Ridgefielders Amy Agoglia MD and her daughter Becca Cohen share their story, “Walls of Protection: Roxy Learns About the Covid-19 Pandemic.”

The idea of writing a book was sparked by a contest they decided to join on a whim. The thought of a mother-daughter project during stay-at-home orders tempted the pair, even though they are completely new to the world of publishing and illustration.

Their book centers around a young girl named Roxy who learns about Covid-19 from her mom and... her magical Teddybear!

Becca is a college student at Emory University and skillfully juggled her freshman year finals while writing the book. Amy, a practicing pediatrician in Ridgefield and Wilton, continues to care for her patients while educating them on the latest coronavirus information.
