At Times Apart but Always Together, RPS Reopens!

Ridgefield Public Schools reopened this week in a hybrid model with Connecticut at low risk for COVID-19 transmission. Almost 15% of RPS families opted for temporary remote learning while two cohorts split their time in person.

Whether in person or remote, it’s great to see everyone and get back to the crucial work of educating RPS students. Maybe teachers, more than students, had the most to learn as they juggle both in-person and remote learners. RPS teachers are professional superstars.

The RPS technology department also deserves commendation for getting the hybrid model up and running with some minor inconveniences amongst the major success of ensuring hundreds of classrooms are accessible to thousands of students from home. Thank you to the reopening committee, all RPS staff, bus drivers, parents, and students for all you do and for continuing to adhere to the rules established to protect everybody. We are united in our efforts to keep our community safe while providing an excellent education to this generation.
