Member of Ridgefield High School community who participated in PSAT on Saturday, tests positive for COVID-19

This afternoon, Aaron Crook, Ridgefield Public Schools Aaron COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison, informed the school community that late this afternoon, the District learned that an individual from Ridgefield High School tested positive for COVID-19.

Crook said that the individual participated in the PSAT at RHS on Saturday, October 17th. As a result, nine students and one teacher will be required to quarantine for 14 days due to this exposure.

"It is important to note that this case of COVID-19 is unrelated to the previous case. In each of the two recent cases, we know where the individual was exposed and we know that the cases are not related to one another," said Crook.

According to Crook, "RHS was deep cleaned the afternoon of October 16th, due to a separate exposure. The contact tracing and cleaning for this exposure has been completed and RHS will be open for class tomorrow."
