Member of RHS Community Tests Positive for COVID and Probable Case at ERMS

This morning, RPS COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison Aaron Crook reported that a member of the Ridgefield High School community tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was not infectious while they were in the RHS building

Late this afternoon, we learned that a member of the East Ridge Middle School community is considered to be a probable positive for COVID-19. This individual was in the ERMS building while they were potentially infectious on Thursday, November 12 and Friday, November 13.

Crook says that he has conferred with Town of Ridgefield Health Department Director Ed Briggs and RPS Medical Advisor Dr. James Ahern about this case and contact tracing has begun.

"During this time when COVID-19 infections are on the rise in our community we ask that you utilize extra precautions in your interactions with people outside of your home," says Crook.
