Ridgefield Gears Up for Drive-Thru COVID Testing Site
First Selectman Rudy Marconi announced today that he expects to add a drive-through test site in town by the end of next week. As he works through the logistics, he says information on the site location, how to sign up and the process will be available early next week.
In the meantime, he says, WEAR YOUR MASK. Statistics prove that states with mask-wearing mandates have a lower average positivity rate than those without.
Please see the graph (Ridgefield New Case Rate decreased slightly from 35.4 to 34.8 per 100,000 residents) and please note: unlike the State of CT which averages data on a two-week basis, the Ridgefield analysis reflects a one-week average. The daily new case rates are expressed per 100,000 residents. Ridgefield also includes congregate settings such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities and the State does not.
