School Status

As communicated on Wednesday, all schools will continue in the hybrid model until at least the week of January 18.  We will communicate with families again on Wednesday, January 13.

Health and Safety

Governor Lamont announced yesterday that the new UK variant of coronavirus has been detected in Connecticut. At this time we have not received any adjusted guidance from the Department of Public Health. The DPH is closely monitoring the situation.

Several of our RPS school nurses have now received the COVID-19 vaccine as part of phase 1-a, and others have appointments pending. Phase 1-b of the vaccine rollout in Connecticut, which includes school employees,  is expected to begin by the end of January. There are 800,000  people in CT in phase 1-b, and it is expected to take 2-3 months to complete.
