Ridgefield High School Students Fully Remote Thursday and Friday Due to Staffing Constraints

Ridgefield High School Principal Jake Greenwood announced late this afternoon that due to COVID cases and staffing constraints, RHS students will be fully remote tomorrow, Thursday 1/14 and Friday 1/15

"I am sorry for the late notice but we tried our best to avoid this by finding suitable coverage before making the decision to have our students remote.  RHS will return to in-person instruction on Tuesday 1/19 with cohort A," said Greenwood.

Greenwood said that they have concluded contact tracing efforts and all students and staff required to quarantine due to direct exposure to COVID positive individuals have been notified.

Please see the message from Aaron Crook, RPS Director of Nursing, for more information here.

As a reminder, you can view the RPS Covid-19 Data Tracker website for quarantine information related to this incident and others within the Ridgefield Public Schools here.

Greenwood reminds families to complete the: RHS Family Cohort Preference Survey.  This survey closes on Friday, January 15th. "We understand that the current climate with regard to COVID spread is dynamic and families have varied reasons for choosing the cohort each student is in.  The data from this survey will guide our decision making in regards to plans that may allow for more in-person learning opportunities," he said.
