Aaron Crook Reports COVID Cases at Ridgebury and Farmingville Elementary School, Contract Tracing Underway

This evening Aaron Crook, RN COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison reported that Ridgefield Public School District learned that a member of both the Ridgebury and Farmingville elementary school communities tested positive for COVID-19.

This individual was in the FES building while potentially infectious to others on Monday, January, 11th and in the RES building while potentially infectious to others on Tuesday, January 12th.

Contact tracing for this case is currently underway.

The RES community will hear from principal Jamie Palladino and the FES community will hear from interim principal Traci Mayette once contact tracing has been completed.

Crook says, "I have conferred with Town of Ridgefield Health Director, Ed Briggs, and RPS Medical Advisor, Dr. James Ahern about this case. Please wear a mask, wash your hands, and keep your distance."
