Vacancies on the Town of Ridgefield Tree Committee

The Ridgefield Town Tree Committee's mission is to encourage the town to commit community effort and resources to preserve and improve our trees and greenscape.

The Tree Committee advises and consults with the Tree Warden on matters pertaining to alterations or revisions to the Forestry Management Plan; policies concerning selection, planting, maintenance, and removal of trees, shrubs and other plants within the town; and the development of community education programs.

The Conservation Commission may appoint four of the members and the Board of Selectman appoints three members. Tree Committee meetings take place on the third Wednesday of the month.

If you are interested in filling a vacancy on the Tree Committee, please contact the office of the First Selectman at (203) 431-2774 or selectman@ridgefieldct.org, or the office of the Conservation Commission at (203) 431 2713 or conservation@ridgefieldct.org.
