Penn State students are taking the challenge to dance in THON 2021, the largest student-run philanthropy in the world, starting this Friday to help raise money for pediatric cancer research.
THON is a student-run philanthropy committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. The mission is to provide emotional and financial support, spread awareness, and ensure funding for critical research—all in pursuit of a cure.
Ridgefield resident Caeleigh Tannian, a Communication Major and Senior at The Pennsylvania State University has been committed to helping this amazing organization for the past three years. She is one of the 592 Penn State students selected to have the special honor of dancing in THON. She will be representing her sorority Gamma Phi Beta and will dance for 46 hours to celebrate all the fundraising efforts for THON! This year because of the pandemic, THON will not be held at the Bryce Jordan center filled with 15,000 students, volunteers, and families, it will be done virtually. Congratulations to Caeleigh and to all the Penn State students that are making a difference FOR THE KIDS!
