Three questions with Diane Cummins, founder of DC Promotional.
Why did you start your business?
After working in the Promotional Product industry for 10 years and after my 3rd child was born in 2008, I decided to open DC Promotional. It afforded me the opportunity to continue developing creative ways to promote my client’s businesses while staying home with my three children (now 4!).
What is your best-selling product/service?
Right now - MASKS! We have done everything from totally custom, completely sublimated masks with company information to blank disposable masks. We specialize in 100% custom so many of our clients expect items that do not exist for other people and we have to create something from scratch. That said, we look for retail inspiration for custom bags, clothing, and even tech gifts.
I hope to grow and be able to hire more moms who are ready to get back into the workforce. Right now there are five of us who enjoy the creative challenges of developing targeted giveaways for our clients and at the same time enjoy the flexibility of working from home. We love what we do and have fun doing it.
