Ridgefield Resident Matt Alcuri Named SCORE Business Advisor

Ridgefield resident Matthew Alcuri has become a Western CT SCORE volunteer business mentor. With a background in financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, publishing, and consumer products, he brings valuable knowledge to the chapter’s clients. Alcuri’s experience includes product management and product development, market research methods, market segmentation and retention strategy, and cross-selling methods, 

SCORE, an affiliate of the Small Business Administration, is a national non-profit organization. Western CT SCORE, covering the Greater Danbury and Waterbury areas, is one of 300 chapters across the nation that provides free, confidential counseling to aspiring entrepreneurs and local small business owners. It has branches in Danbury, Ridgefield, Newtown, New Milford, and Waterbury. 

Alcuri says he joined SCORE for two main reasons: “I have always been a strong believer that volunteering gives you the chance to contribute to the kind of community you want to live in every day.  And every community needs a little help nowadays.  Also, throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of working and getting to know business owners around the country.  I have developed a deep respect for their passion and dedication to their business, their employees and their communities.  I find it a true honor to work with business owners in our region.”
