As we have done for many years, The Ridgefield Thrift Shop will recognize Ridgefield students who have demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism with five $3,000 scholarships. These scholarships help to offset some of the rising costs of college.
These will be awarded to seniors in the 2021 graduating class who are Ridgefield residents planning to pursue post-secondary education at a trade school, two-year, or four-year college in the fall of 2021. Please note: Applicants must be enrolled at Ridgefield High School or any other accredited high school.
The application can be found at www.RidgefieldThiftshop.com under Grants & Scholarships tap. Applications must be submitted by April 10, 2021 to rtsscholarship2021@gmail.com. Winners will be announced in June.
Without your generous donations of housewares, small furniture, gently used clothing, jewelry and other wonderful items we could not make these awards. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Thrift Shop goes back into the community. Like other businesses, we have struggled with reduced hours and reduced revenue through the pandemic.
