COVID Cases at Multiple Ridgefield Public Schools

COVID cases reported at BES, RHS, SRMS, Barlow Mountain, and ERMS

Aaron Crook,  RPS COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison reported that today, the District learned that a member of the Branchville Elementary School (BES) community is presumed positive for COVID-19. This individual was in the BES building while potentially infectious to others on Thursday, January 21st, and Friday, January, 22nd. Contact tracing for this case is underway.

In addition, Crook said that a member of the Ridgefield High School community has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was not in the RHS building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracing is needed.

The District also learned today that a member of the Scotts Ridge Middle School community has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was not in the SRMS building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracking is needed.

And, today two members of the Barlow Mountain Elementary School community have tested positive for COVID-19, and one member of the East Ridge Middle School community has tested positive for COVID-19.

Crook said that these individuals were not in the BMES or ERMS buildings during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others and no contact tracing is needed for these cases.
