The Ridgefield Historical Society has opened its spring membership drive, reaching out to those who have recently gotten to know the organization through programs that have ranged from Black history topics to Battle of Ridgefield discoveries to the ongoing Covid 19 archive project. Letters have also gone out to members who may have missed the fall membership campaign.
The Ridgefield Historical Society has opened its spring membership drive, inviting everyone who has gotten to know the organization through our expanded programs that have ranged from Black history topics to (we mention Bof R below) Ridgefield Women to be Remembered to the ongoing Covid 19 archive project. Your support is crucially to the Historical Society’s continued Benefits of membership including priority registration and early access to programs and a small token of our thanks!
Describing the past year as one of growth, particularly in the Historical Society’s online presence, Historical Society President Tracy Seem says, “In addition to public programs, ahead of us is a pivotal year of growth with our first-ever fundraising event on Sunday, May 30, the redesign of our website, and two multi-year projects centered on the discovery of skeletal remains, presumably Revolutionary War soldiers: a comprehensive Battle of Ridgefield research project and presentation to the community, supported by the National Park Service; and a major upgrade to our state-of-the-art archive that houses our ever-expanding collection of Ridgefield’s history. Your support is an essential part of our ability to take on exciting and innovative projects.”
