COVID Cases Reported at Three Ridgefield Public Schools

Today, Monday, April 26, we learned that a member of the Barlow Mountain Elementary School (BMES) community is presumed positive for COVID-19. This individual was not in the BMES building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracing is needed.

We also learned today that a member of the Ridgefield High School (RHS) community tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was not in the RHS building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracing is needed.

We also learned today that two members of the Scotland Elementary School (SES) community are presumed positive for COVID-19. These individuals were not in the SES building during a period of time when they were potentially infectious to others. No contact tracing is needed.

I conferred with Town of Ridgefield Health Director Ed Briggs and RHS Medical Advisor Dr. James Ahern about these cases.

Wear a mask, wash your hands, keep your distance, and get vaccinated.
