Open Auditions for The Exonerated at Ridgefield Theater Barn

Theater Barn announces Open Auditions for The Exonerated

The Ridgefield Theater Barn will hold open auditions for The Exonerated by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen at 37 Halpin Lane, Ridgefield, CT on Sunday, June 20th and Monday, June 21st.

The production, directed by Scott R. Brill, will be presented Friday and Saturday evenings from September 11th to October 2nd at 8 pm, with Sunday matinees September 12th, 19th, and 26th at 5 pm. Rehearsals will begin in July.

Several roles were already filled pre-pandemic, and the Theater Barn is now seeking four versatile actors to join the cast of this powerful and socially relevant play that chronicles the true lives and stories in their own words of six wrongfully convicted survivors of death row. Moving between first-person monologues and impactful scenes, The Exonerated provides an excellent and rewarding acting challenge in a truly ensemble production.

Auditions will be by appointment and can be reserved on the audition page of the Barn’s website. Those auditioning should be prepared to read from sides provided. Please be familiar with the play. More information, including a cast breakdown of the four open roles and audition sides, can be found here.
