Ridgefield Fire Department Welcome Three New Recruits!

Ridgefield Fire Department welcomed three newest recruits this week. The Department announced the news on the Ridgefield Professional Fire Department Facebook Page.

Niels Ebbesen, Jake Amorando, and Paulina Smaga began their firefighting journey this week, Ridgefield Fire Department says. "They will partake in daily training at the fire department until they go away to the Connecticut Fire Academy for recruit training.  Until then, they will be in our very own Mini Academy which is being run very similarly to the recruit program at the Connecticut Academy."

Once at the Fire Academy in late August, they will be attending the recruit program for four months.

The Fire Department says, "They will be back in Ridgefield just before Christmas.  Good Luck Recruits!"
