Ridgefield Public School District Hires New Grade 6-12 Math and Science Supervisor

Ridgefield Public Schools announced today that Jeffrey Corbishley will be the next 6-12 Math and Science Supervisor. Mr. Corbishley has taught at Ridgefield High School since 2008 and has been the RHS Mathematics Department Chair since 2013.

Mr. Corbishley remarked, “I am truly honored to take on this new position in the Ridgefield Public Schools. Math and science education are critical components in today’s society and our students in Ridgefield must be prepared to think critically, numerically, and logically to solve the problems of today and the problems that have yet to even develop. I look forward to helping the district grow and improve in this changing world. Ridgefield truly has amazing students, dedicated teachers, knowledgeable administrators, and supportive families and I am eager to work with everyone to provide the best math and science education for the Ridgefield community.”

Ridgefield High School Principal Dr. Jacob Greenwood writes that "Jeff Corbishley has a proven track record of thoughtful leadership guided by student-centered decision making. His enthusiasm, kindness, and excellent judgment empower students and colleagues. His contributions to RHS are numerous and I am confident he will continue to lead with passion and pride in his new role."

Mr. Corbishley will begin his new position on August 16, 2021. He takes over for Eric Gundel, who resigned for personal reasons after a short time in the District. Congratulations and welcome to the curriculum team, Jeff!
