Services Planned for Dorothy (Allegressa) Girolametti, 87, of Ridgefield

Dorothy (Allegressa) Girolametti, 87, of Ridgefield, wife of the late John J. Girolametti, Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday morning in her home.

Mrs. Girolametti was born in Ridgefield on August 7, 1934, a daughter of the late Arturo and Josephine (Buzzi) Allegressa. Raised in Ridgefield, she attended Ridgefield schools and graduated from Ridgefield High School. A lifelong Ridgefield resident, Mrs. Girolametti was a member of St. Mary Parish and was active at the Adoration Chapel. During her life, Mrs. Girolametti along with her husband and family-owned and operated The Old Ice House restaurant as well as Ridge Bowl, Ridgefield’s bowling alley.

Mrs. Girolametti is survived by her five children, Dianne and her husband Frank Walsh, John Girolametti Jr. and his wife Cindy, David Girolametti and his wife Lisa, Stephen Girolametti, and Lynn and her husband Ed Freer, Jr., seven grandchildren, Matthew Walsh (Ashley), Stephen Walsh (Nicole), Kristen Walsh, Amy Petrini (Matt), Lisa Guardino (Mike), William Girolametti (Angela), and Michael Girolametti. She is also survived by a sister, Theresa “Terri” Raymond of Ridgefield, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Girolametti was predeceased by a sister, Joan “Mim” Mastrianni.

The family would like to express gratitude for her caregiver, Isabel Pacheco, for her exceptional care over the past ten years, and for who has become a member of our family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 520 Ridgebury Road, Ridgefield.

Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield
