Aaron Crook reports COVID cases at Ridgefield High School and Ridgebury Elementary

Today, Aaron Crook, RN, RPS COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison reported that the District learned that a member of the Ridgebury Elementary School (RES) community tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was not in the RES building while potentially infectious to others. This individual has a known source of exposure outside of the RES building. No contact tracing is needed for this case.

In addition, Crook said that today the District learned today that a member of the Ridgefield High School (RHS) community tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was in the RHS building while potentially infectious to others on Monday, September 13, and Wednesday, September 15. Contact tracing for this case has been completed. 

"I conferred with Town of Ridgefield Health Director Ed Briggs and RHS Medical Advisor Dr. James Ahern about these cases. Wear a mask, wash your hands, keep your distance, and get vaccinated," said Crook.
