Ridgefield Library to Honor Peggy and Rudy Marconi with Hope H. Swenson Visionary Award

The Ridgefield Library is pleased to announce the 2022 Great Expectations Gala honorees and recipients of the Hope H. Swenson Visionary Award will be Peggy and Rudy Marconi for their extraordinary leadership, dedication and contributions to the Ridgefield Community over the years and especially during recent difficult times. The Gala will take place at the Ridgefield Library on Saturday, June 4, 2022.

 

Peggy Marconi has lived in Ridgefield for over 30 years. During the past 22 years she has served the community as a top Realtor helping both sellers and buyers as they transition to new phases of their lives, and has received the Good Neighbor Award from the Board of Realtors. In addition to her professional work, Peggy has served the community on the Board of the RVNA, on the Board of Ann’s Place and has supported the important work of the Danbury Women’s Center and Ability Beyond. 

Rudy Marconi, a life-long Ridgefielder and current First Selectman of Ridgefield, has shown incredible leadership over the years, especially in shepherding the Ridgefield community through the COVID-19 Pandemic. Rudy was a supporter of the New Ridgefield Library Building Project that helped the Town realize the dream of the beautiful Library that Ridgefield enjoys today. In addition, his hard work and dedication on the Ridgefield Community Coalition Against Substance Abuse, the Compassionate Ridgefield Project, WestCOG (Western CT Council of Governments), HRRA (Housatonic Resource Recovery Authority), Western CT Coalition and involvement in Ridgefield's receiving the first cultural district designation in the State of Connecticut, as well as his tireless support of local nonprofits and businesses, have greatly benefited all who live in Ridgefield. 

 

The Ridgefield Library is honored to present the Marconis with the Hope H. Swenson Visionary Award next Spring.
