Member of Ridgefield Public School District Tests Positive for COVID, Several RHS and RES Community Members Exposed

Aaron Crook, RN, RPS COVID-19 Health and Safety Compliance Liaison reported that the District learned that a member of the Ridgefield Public Schools community tested positive for COVID-19.

This individual was infectious to others on Wednesday, September 15. Several Ridgefield High School (RHS) and Ridgebury Elementary School (RES) community members were exposed.

This case is not connected to the previous cases at RES or RHS. Contact tracing for this case is nearly completed. 

Crook said, "I conferred with Town of Ridgefield Health Director Ed Briggs and RHS Medical Advisor Dr. James Ahern about this case. Wear a mask, wash your hands, keep your distance, and get vaccinated."
