Captain Comstock Retires from Ridgefield Police Department After 34 Years Of Dedicated Service

Today Captain Thomas Comstock will be retiring from the Ridgefield Police Department. During his tenure with the department, Captain Comstock held the following ranks and commands: 
 
Patrol Officer (1988-1998), Detective/Youth Officer (1998-2001), Sergeant (2001-2005), Lieutenant 2005-2012), Captain of the Division of Professional Standards (2012-2013), and Detective Division Commander (2013-2021).   
 
Captain Comstock instructed a variety of subjects, held a variety of specialized assignments, and received multiple recognitions during his career to include:
 
-Exceptional Service Award Recipient (1998 and 2011)
-Field Training Officer
-D.A.R.E. Instructor
-Arrest and Control Instructor
-Taser Instructor
-Honor Guard Member 
-Motorcycle Officer
