Ridgefield Women’s Flag Football league, the first of its kind in the state, completed its third season last week with smiles and lots of high-fives!
“Such fun, I can’t wait to play again next year,” a first-year player boasted.
Linda Queenan, who has been part of the league for two years remarked, “A tremendous thank you for organizing yet another AMAZING year of Flag! The games I was able to play were food for my soul!"
Forty women strong, the league began in 2019 under the leadership of Commissioner, Lynne Briody with a mission of giving local ladies the opportunity to try a new sport while building friendships and having fun.
“It’s a great way to enjoy a great game, meet new people and get some exercise as spring arrives each year. No experience is necessary - we learn together,” says founder Lynne Briody.
