Town of Ridgefield Seeks Local Businesses to Join its Senior Savings Program

The Senior Positive Initiative Forum (SPIF) is looking for more businesses to join the Senior Gold Card program!

SPIF is a Town of Ridgefield, CT task force working to meet the needs of Ridgefield’s senior population. The chairman is Tony Phillips, LCSW Director of the Social Services Department.

The Senior Gold Card program is a program that senior citizens (65 years or older) in Ridgefield can join to receive benefits, such as discounts at select retailers participating in the program. Senior citizens can apply for their gold card through Town Hall and receive it the same day. Owners of the gold card must simply present their card to participating retailers and ask for the benefit.

Businesses: to apply, simply email Ryan Williams detailing your interest to receive an application form. There is no cost to join. Any business who joins is greatly appreciated, as we all want to give back to our senior citizens!

The Gold Card Book: every year SPIF updates the Gold Card Book, a hard copy (and PDF) collection of all participating businesses in the program. This is meant for senior citizens to browse and easily identify where they can obtain their discounts and benefits. The Gold Card Book is currently in the process of being updated, hence the desire for new businesses!
