Ridgefield Chamber Transitions from Paper Gift Certificates to E-Gift Cards, Shop Local!

The Ridgefield Chamber is moving from its current paper-based gift certificate program to a Ridgefield Community E-Gift Card.

Diana Spence, Executive Director of the Ridgefield Chamber says redemption of outstanding paper certificates will continue to be honored.

"The Gift Card is a prepaid Mastercard and processed by merchants as such. So no more accumulating paper gift certificates and bringing them to the Chamber office for reimbursement. Now the sale goes directly and immediately into your bank account. As a Chamber member*, there is no cost to you to participate in the Community Gift Card program," Spence explains.

The Gift Card program is powered by Yiftee, our technology partner, which serves over 400 U.S. communities and over 130,000 participating merchants. Both the Fairfield and New Canaan Chambers of Commerce have successfully implemented this Gift Card program in their communities.

Spence says, "The Gift Cards can only be used at participating Ridgefield merchants. So the objective here is to drive more business to you and keep customers spending local. Your business will be listed on the Community Gift Card webpage with a link to your website."

For questions or should you not wish to participate in the Community Gift Card program, please contact Diana Spence at dspence@ridgefieldchamber.org.

*Non-Chamber merchants and restaurants may enroll in the Community Gift Card Program and become a Chamber member on a trial basis for just $100.

· Your Chamber membership and Gift Card Program enrollment will be immediately effective and you will be entitled to all the benefits of Chamber membership.

· If you are satisfied with your membership after 6 months and wish to continue in the Gift Card Program and as a Chamber member, you will be billed the $250 remaining balance as an Executive Level Chamber member.
