Memorial Service for Jennifer Mason, 61, this Saturday at Jesse Lee

Jennifer H. Mason, 61, of Ridgefield, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 14th, 2022, surrounded by her family.
 
Jennifer was born on March 5th, 1961, in Martinsville, VA. She was the daughter of Clyde and Anne Hawkins and sister to her three brothers: John, Bill, and Steve. Jenni graduated from West Chester University in 1983 where she obtained her degree in Elementary Education.
 
Jenni became an elementary school teacher and worked in the Ridgefield Public School system for over 30 years. Jenni was also a devoted and active member of Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church. While she was involved in several different ministries, she is most known for her involvement in the choir, leader of the middle school youth group, being heavily involved with helping to organize and volunteer with the Appalachia Service Project (ASP), as well as being the founder of the church handbell choir. Jenni was part of the SymphoNYChorus, where she participated in concerts throughout the US and beyond.
 
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Scott, of 37 years, and their 4 children: Heather, Tori, Lindsay, and David. In addition, she is survived by her grandson, Noah; her mother, Anne W. Hawkins; and her three brothers John, Bill, and Steve Hawkins. Jenni was predeceased by her father, Clyde W. Hawkins.
 
A Memorial Service in Celebration of Jenni’s Life will take place on Saturday, September 24th, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church; 207 Main Street, Ridgefield. Contributions in Jenni’s memory may be made to Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, www.jesseleechurch.com. Kane Funeral Home, Ridgefield is in care of arrangements.
