Meaningful Employment Gives Ali Purpose: We Salute The Prospector Theater During National Disability Employment Awareness Month

Did you know? National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is observed annually each October and celebrates the contributions of America’s workers with disabilities while showcasing supportive, inclusive employment policies and practices. The theme for NDEAM 2022 is “Disability: Part of the Equity Equation.”

Here in Ridgefield, this theme is at work every single day at The Prospector Theater! Look no further than Ali.

"Using my AAC device makes it a lot easier to communicate with Prospects and guests while I'm working. Having a job makes me feel happy that I'm contributing to society and I'm now able to live on my own!"

Ali is a proud Prospect who earns a paycheck while adding a tremendous amount of value at The Prospector Theater. The theater states that 74% of the workforce self-identify with a disability. "We sparkle and transform our passions into professions, while earning paychecks with competitive wages."
