Founders Hall Honors Community Volunteer Award 2023 Recipients

Founders Hall hosted approximately 65 guests for a Volunteer Luncheon on Tuesday, April 25th celebrating volunteers with up to nearly 4,000 hours of service. It was an honor to recognize and thank our incredible volunteers with a special event generously sponsored by Spring Village at Danbury.

Congratulations to our fabulous Community Volunteer Award 2023 recipients, Ridgefield High School students Corrie and Naomi Vakil, who have been helping at Founders Hall since 2018. During their time here, Corrie and Naomi have helped with various mailings, managed fellow volunteers, taken photographs, and assisted with prep through cleanup for numerous events like Oktoberfest, picnics, ice cream socials and holiday parties just to name a few.

Over the course of our 20-year history, we have enjoyed the assistance of 1,657 volunteers who provided over 60,225 total hours of service!

“I’ve found such a reliable and hard-working group of volunteers for events, whom I know I can depend on when there’s a lot to get done before we open the doors to guests. Every time I make calls for a mailing I exclaim ‘I love our mailing volunteers!’ because before I’ve even finished saying hello they are checking their calendars and giving me the go ahead. We’ve also got a slew of tech helpers and bingo callers who bring such important and appreciated services to our members,” explains Founders Hall Member Social Events and Volunteers Manager Nikki Nuut.
