Boys & Girls State Graduates
American Legion Post 78 sponsors Junior High School students to a leadership program entitled Boys & Girls State. It is a week-long program where they learn different aspects of how local, state and national governments are formed and work.
During the week they are assigned fictitious parties, run for different offices and get to meet state and national politicians. It is a great program for those who are interested in going into a Military Academy, public service or law enforcement.
This year's graduates spoke at the Legion meeting this past Thursday night.
