This Sunday, October 8 at 1 p.m., the community is invited to attend Ridgefield's Pride Crosswalk Dedication. The crosswalk is located at the corner of East Ridge Road and Governor Street.
Speakers include First Selectman, Rudy Marconi, State Rep, Aimee Berger-Girvalo, and Senator Ceci Mahar. Additional attendees include Issy Caporale, a member of the police commission and ACT's Resident Music Supervisor, Bryan Perri as well as our community LGBTQ+ youth.
"Ridgefield's Poet Laureate Emerita, Barb Jennes will be reading a poem written specifically for the occasion. Ridgefield Chorale, led by Daniela Sikora will be performing a number," says Alisa Trachtenberg, who is organizing the event alongside Mary Joyce and Noalee Darragh.
