Better Than Gossip Releases Episodes Filmed at RVNAhealth with Monica Marcello, MS, RD

RVNAhealth is excited to announce that “Better Than Gossip: Ageless Advice for Timeless Women” (BTG), a streaming show with cross-generational conversation for women who love the inside scoop has officially been released.

The show is hosted by the award-winning podcast host, author, speaker, and founder of Fearlessly Facing Fifty, Amy Schmidt (a Ridgefield native); eating expert, author, educator, and founder of The Culinary Cure, Kristen Coffield, and Lisa Speers, blogger and creator of I Do Part Two.

Six episodes were filmed in RVNAhealth’s Nutrition Education Center. The six episodes feature RVNAhealth’s Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Educator, Monica Marcello, MS, RD, covering topics such as hydration, substantial breakfast, avoiding added sugars, healthy cooking oils, incorporating more vegetables in your diet, and how diet can affect your mental health.

“There’s a lot of new research on how diet can impact mental health and the fact that diet not only serves as prevention but also helps in treatment for depression and clinical mental health conditions,” Marcello says. “I try to make practical recommendations and give people a fresh perspective on why they should consider making small changes to their nutrition or dietary and lifestyle habits. It’s not just about your body size, it’s also about your internal happiness and quality of life.”

Monica hopes that her work on BTG helps audiences understand that dietitians can be important advocates for patients as they think about their overall health goals and who is on their care team.

“I want people to know that dietitians have a deep understanding of the body and nutritional science,” she says. “A dietitian can work with you to improve your sleep, brain fog or a nagging digestive issue that doctors can’t pinpoint.”

The show is available on Binge Network, a free streaming site that can be found on phones, computers and tablets. To watch the show, visit: bingenetworks.tv and search “Better Than Gossip”.
