Brian Bender, the owner of Ridgefield's Cutting Board Cafe, announced today on the company Facebook page that the Cafe has closed.
Bender, a Culinary Institute of America grad, opened the Cutting Board six years ago with his wife, Rachel. The Benders will continue to operate their popular catering business. "Our primary focus will be weddings, mitzvahs, cocktail parties, corporate events, holiday catering," Bender wrote on Facebook.
Over the years, the Cutting Board has been extremely supportive of the Ridgefield community, donating to various nonprofit events and local causes.
"We are especially grateful for our friends, family, and loyal customers we have met along the way. We are excited about continuing our relationships as our culinary journey heads up a new path," said Bender.
